English born at the start of the magnificent 70's, I was always a day dreamer. Growing up with 5 siblings by a hard working single mother, I longed to DO SOMETHING THAT MADE A DIFFERENCE TO MAKE ME AND MY MUM PROUD.

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
An introvert at heart with an extroverted exterior I had a strong sense for fashion from an early age.

As time went on and I hit my mid 30’s after moving to Australia and becoming a mother, my dress style took a change of direction. I rediscovered my love for Jazz and Blues and my vintage style that had shown itself through brief moments in my 20’s whilst being prominent in the stylings of my London apartment, took shape as I adopted a more 1940/50’s classic style with an elegance, sophistication, and playfulness that made me feel alive.
I WAS ALMOST THERE BUT TO SOME EXTENT I WAS HIDING
Black was my go to colour which I used as a barrier to hide parts of myself that I felt others didn’t want to see. With the bubbly personality that I had on occasions... my thought process was... if I wear bright colours and bold prints, I came across as being too loud. A strange concept I know, but I felt like I wanted to stand out and show my unique self expression... but not too much! An apparent lack of confidence it seemed.
A LIFE OF CONSTANT INTROSPECTION HAS LED ME TO WHERE I AM TODAY
Throughout my life I have made it my mission to work on myself and be the best version of me possible. With an introduction into Buddhism and meditation in my mid twenties, to Vipassana silent 10 day retreats to help balance and quiet my mind, and now a daily meditation routine, I have been able to observe the energies around me and within, that have played a huge part in my evolution... my path.
In my later years I came to realise that I was a conscious manifestor, as I watched in wonder how everything I desired played itself out in actuality in every waking moment. I knew that I needed to be mindful of thoughts and words as to not bring in anything negative (which trust me... I saw on occassions).
A pinnacle time of my life came in my late 40’s after being a recluse for almost 3 years due to needing the time out to realise who I was, where I was going, and what I wanted and deserved in my life. I decided that enough was enough and wanted to shine again - to feel me, exactly how I was meant... just like I did in my 20’s. I went shopping and started picking out outfits with bolder prints and colours... and then in 2019, following a trip to back to London I had my talented mother make me a collection of bold skirts and a dress in African print with cute little handbags to match, I realised my smile was now complete!

I knew that my surroundings also needed an upgrade and energy shift, and redesigned my home whilst manifesting my ultimate creation to date... to have my own gallery, where I could marvel everyday at the beauty and reflection of my inner world. I loved art and everything about it. The female artists work displayed was exquisite, and the energy within the space was amazing. As of May 2022 Quilla Gallery is no longer. I am now blessed for the transformation that it bestowed upon me as the final piece of the puzzle to bring me back to where I needed to be.
Having the confidence, optimism and passion to be whoever, and do whatever I desired in my life, will always make me eternally grateful. |

After 15 years as a branding and web designer through my business RUBI CREATIONS DIGITAL, knowing how to tell the unique story of a clients business by showing a true representation of who they are and how they want their business to be seen, I feel blessed to be able to extend this knowledge to personal styling and branding.
Amanda Jane is and has been; a mother to a teenage angel, a branding and website designer through my business Rubi Creations Digital, a wallpaper designer (with my designs featured on The Block Shop website and Home Design Magazine), a holistic interior designer, a personal stylist and image consultant, a mentor, a gallery curator, a magazine editor and writer, a jazz and blues singer, a cabaret performer, a cabaret club organiser and host, a jazz and blues club organiser and promoter, and now… where I am today. Bringing all of the wisdom that I have gained over the years so that I can help unleash the true essence, and beauty that lies within ALL of the beautiful clients that I work with.
